After pressing Enter, each tile shows a small rank number (1–N) in its lower-right corner, where N is the word length. The rank tells you how close that letter is to the correct letter compared to the other letters in your guess:
1 = closest to the target higher = further away
Ties in distance share the same rank number.
Distance is measured on a circular alphabet — Z wraps back to A, so the maximum distance is 13.
A ✓ appears to the right of each row for every letter whose circular distance is a multiple of 5 (0, 5, or 10). You must work out which letters earned those checks yourself.
A correct guess gives every letter rank 1 and earns one ✓ per letter.
