A 2-player game of walls and enclosures.
Choose a game mode above, then press Start Game.
Score points by building walls that enclose regions of the board with your piece inside. Each finished enclosure containing your piece scores one point per square (max 9 per enclosure, max 27 total). The player with the higher score when the game ends wins.
The board is a 6×6 grid, columns A–F and rows 1–6. Each player has 3 pieces — The starting player is chosen randomly and makes only one move on their opening turn; all later turns consist of two moves each.
There are 12 cards: letters A–F (columns) and numbers 1–6 (rows). On each move you select one available letter and one available number to identify a target square (e.g. C and 4 targets C4). After use a card becomes unavailable until reset. Cards reset after the last card is used.
1. Select a square — choose an available column letter and row number.
2. Build a wall — place a wall on one edge of the selected square. If any legal placement exists on the selected square you MUST build a wall. If no legal wall exists on the selected square, the wall is discarded.
3. Move a piece — if (and only if) you built a wall, you must move one of your active pieces one square orthogonally. If no legal piece move exists, this step is skipped.
A wall CANNOT be placed: (a) where a wall already exists; (b) on an edge of a square occupied by an ACTIVE piece (one not inside an enclosure); (c) inside an enclosure. Walls may always be built on the outer boundary of a semi-finished enclosure.
An enclosure is a connected set of squares whose entire boundary consists of player-built walls and/or board edges, containing at most 9 squares and at most 1 piece. A FINISHED ENCLOSURE has player-built walls on every boundary segment (including board-edge segments, if any). A SEMI-FINISHED ENCLOSURE has at least one board-edge side without a player-built wall.
Pieces inside any enclosure are INACTIVE: they cannot move and do not block wall placement. A piece in a semi-finished enclosure shows a red X; one in a finished enclosure shows a green check and will score. Once an enclosure forms, its size cannot shrink — only outer-boundary walls needed to finish a semi-finished enclosure (if any) may still be added.
A piece moves one square orthogonally in a direction not blocked by a wall or other piece. On the second move of a turn, no piece may move onto the square vacated during the first move of the turn (indicated by a red X appearing on that square).
The game ends when 15 walls have been discarded, or when all 6 pieces are inside finished enclosures. Only finished enclosures score — the number of squares in a finished enclosure is awarded to the player whose piece is inside it. High score wins.
No legal piece move is available. The move ends here.
